A brochure that describes your business can be a very useful
and inexpensive marketing tool. A brochure can be used to remind
existing customers of your full range of products and services
and it can be used to introduce yourself to potential new customers.
A brochure can be very detailed or very general. It can be professionally
designed or you can do it yourself. No matter how you chose to
do it, there are some important things to make sure you include:
1. A clear idea on how you intend to use this brochure.
E.g. I'll use this brochure to get people to sign up for membership
before I open.
2. Three brief paragraphs on what your business does?
What you do in general? What makes you unique? E.g. We are a fitness
center that is located in downtown, that offers the latest in
technology for exercise and fitness training. Our trainers are
all qualified and nationally certified. You'll love our free towel
service.
3. Three or four sentences on you personally.
What qualifies you for your business? E.g. I've been a fitness
consultant to top metropolitan health clubs for 14 years. Every
year I go for to the Association for Fitness Conference and Training.
So I am always aware of the latest technology and research
4. Pick three features of your business and describe the benefits
in detail to your clients/buyers.
The chart below helps you define features from benefits.
